Reflectix7 Insulation consists of two outer layers of aluminum foil that reflect 97% of radiant heat. Each layer of foil is bonded to a tough layer of polyethylene for strength. Two inner layers of insulating bubbles resist conductive heat flow while a center layer of polyethylene give Reflectix7 high reliability and strength. Reflectix7 Insulation has a Class A/Class 1 fire rating. Reflectix7 is tested in accordance with ASTM E84, ETL certification, ICC, ICBO, SBCCI and BOCA. Applications for Reflectix7 include duct insulation, duct liner, return air panning, wall insulation, pipe insulation, crawl space and attic. It is also for use in radiant floor applications. Flexible rolls are packaged in plastic bags.

“R” Values: Insulation Value (ASTM-236) -- R-4.2 (Direct) --- R-6 (with use of 3/4” spacer) --- R8 (with 2-3/4” spacer layers and 2 layers of wrap)

Reflectix7 Duct Liner is used to insulate rectangular and round heating, ventilating and air conditioning ductwork. Reflectix7 provides acoustical and thermal efficiency that reduces unwanted noise and heat loss/gain from equipment and ductwork. Using Reflectix7 Duct Liner, which is 5/16” thick, will allow for less steel to be used in achieving proper duct dimensions. Duct liner for use in conditioned spaces ONLY. “R” value 1.2.

REFLECTIX-8 duct wrap has all of the features of REFLECTIX-7 insulation, but with an R-8 insulation value when used with spacers. No need to douple wrap to achieve R-8. Requires only a single layer wrap with spacers to achieve R-8.

CONCRETE SLAB INSULATION

REFLECTIX Concrete Slab insulation consists of seven layers. The first layer of white poly is bonded to foil to protect from lime in curing concrete. Each outer layer is bonded to a tough layer of polyethylene for strength. Two inner layer of insulating bubbles resist conductive heat flow while a center layer of polyethylene gives REFLECTIX high reliability and added strength. Use for insulation (and moisture/radon retarder) under a concrete slab, insulation under a radiant floor system or snow melt system (in a slab).
