Oil Furnace “Through-The-Wall” venting without the use of a power venter. Through-the-wall vent- ing is a top quality, high efficiency method of releasing combustion products to the outdoors through a vent on the side of the house, rather than a traditional chimney. Much like a dryer’s venting system, this method utilizes the burner to efficiently force the combustion products from the heating equipment. Olsen Direct Sidewall Vent is the perfect solution when a conventional chimney just won’t do. All furnaces supplied with high efficiency AFII Beckett Burners. Direct Sidewall Vent is available on these models of Olsen Oil Furnaces. Because the need for a chimney is eliminated, the losses traditionally associated with a chimney are also eliminated. This allows for an overall increase in installed appliance efficiency. The Olsen Direct Sidewall Vent kit has been designed for flexibility in installation. Kits are available in 4” (BCL/BFL) and 3” (BML/HML/WML) diameter outlets and in 10’, 15’ and 20’ lengths. Every Direct Sidewall Vent installation requires Olsen Vent Termi- nal in addition to the venting kit. Only one wall opening is required for co-axial vent intake/combustion unit. The Olsen Vent Terminal utilizes a two-pipe combustion air/exhaust gas configuration. Indoor air is never used for combustion thereby ensuring greater efficiency and safety in new, tightly sealed houses. The burner provides the necessary pressure for adequate venting of flue products - no additional motors or controls are required. Combustion air piping and vacuum relief valve are to be field supplied.
