The CCDG series is designed for split system, manufactured home, air conditioning systems. It is designed to be custom matched to manufactured housing coils for use in gas fired , oil fired , or electric furnaces. A wide selection of accessories allows CCDG units to be used in retrofit applications on most competitive Brands, including Miller and Intertherm. Quick connect fittings allow easy connection to pre-charged line sets and matching pre-charged coils. When used with sweat connection lines and coils, the unit charge is correct only for the unit. Additional refrigerant must be added to compensate for field sweat line sets and/or coil. 208/230 volt 1 Rh.

MISMATCHED HEAT PUMP EQUIPMENT...WHY NOT?

Often times we are confronted with a service problem on a heat pump system and find that the outdoor unit was replaced recent- ly. Further questions determine the indoor section was not replaced and is not a factory designed match. Given this scenerio, we have no base line information, or performance characteristics to help analyze the system. We cannot determine what the system should be doing, or if it is operating correctly, given the components used. We are unable to determine the correct refrigerant charge weight, correct operating pressures, superheat, orifice sizing, amperage or any other criteria associated with the system. Even though a mis-matched system may have operated fairly well in the A/C or Heat mode when it was installed; odds are, that when it is switched to the other operating mode, the system will experience operational / performance problems. What can be done ? Resolving situations of this type requires the replacement of the indoor unit to obtain a factory designed matched system. Only then can the correct system operational characteristics be determined and performance evaluated.
