cooling when the delivered air temperature goes above or below normal operating limits. Requires three wires. Uses normal 18-22 gauge thermostat wire. Issues an alert for a heating or cooling failure.

Provides secure, remote access to and control of HVAC systems. Installs quickly and easily and can be used with a variety of applications including conventional, single-stage, multi-stage, heat pump and networked zoning. Used with the T8635L Microelectronic Programmable Thermostat and either a W8635A or W8635B Equipment Interface Module for non-zoned applications. Can also be used with T8635L Thermostat and a W8835A Envirazone™ System for zoned applications. Dial-in using touch-tone phone and passcode to check the temperature, change the status of the HVAC system, and perform other thermostat-related functions. Dials-out if there is an extended power outage, extreme hot/cold temperature condition or other heating and cooling problem. Monitors and reports HVAC performance problems using a C7835A Discharge Air Temperature Sensor. Calls up to three pre-designated telephone numbers (one can be contractor monitoring) to report possible heating/cooling problems. Gives remote control over thermostat-related functions.
