CONVENTIONAL OPEN-TYPE COMPRESSORS (Belt Drive)
A complete line of conventional open-type compressors from 1/2 HP through 10 H.P. Dura- bility and availability of parts coupled with ease of service are just a few reasons why there are over 2 million Blissfield compressors operating in the field. All compressors are com- pletely tested prior to leaving the factory and are shipped with mineral oil. All compressors shipped with suction and discharge shut-off valves and flywheel. Excellent replacements for Tecumseh, Frick, and Bitzer open compressors. Rated for use with R-12, R-134A, R-404A, R-407C and R-507 refrigerants - high, medium and low temperature applications.

2. When in doubt, turn the power off, disconnect the wires from the compressor and measure the ohmic resistance between the terminals. The highest resistance will be from S to R. The next highest resistance will be from C to S and the lowest resistance will be from C to R. From these measure- ments, you can determine the actual individual terminal designations.
The above isn’t as complicated as it sounds. Simply draw three “terminals” on a piece of paper in the configuration of the terminals on the compressor you are checking. Label them A,B,C, or what ever you want to label them. Begin measuring the resistances and noting them on the paper.
Example:
term (A) to term (B) = 4.5 ohms term (A) to term (C) = 2.0 ohms term (B) to term (C) = 6.5 ohms
Conclusion: A to B is = to C to S (Middle reading) A to C is = to C to R (Lowest reading) B to C is = to S to R (Highest reading)
Therefor:
(A) term is actually Common (C) (B) term is actually Start (S) (C) term is actually Run (R)
