The Aprilaire® Energy Recovery Ventilator is a way to effectively exchange fresh outside air for stale air inside. The exclusive Energy- Max® Transfer Core uses the heat of indoor air to warm up the incoming cold fresh air, recovering about 77% of the energy. In summer, incoming warm fresh air passes near outgoing conditioned air, cooling it down. The beauty of the EnergyMax® Transfer Core is its use of enthalpic technology.

The technology enables the transfer of moisture as well as heat. The popularity of the enthalpic-type air exchanger has increased all over the country because of its superior ability to control humidity levels in both winter and summer. VENTILATION CONTROL SYSTEM

Installed as part of the home’s heating/cooling system, the controller works in conjunction with an Aprilaire 6” motorized damper to continuously monitor the humidity levels in the home and the outdoor temperature of fresh air entering the home. Combining this information with flexible, user-adjustable controls allows homeowner to manage both the quantity and quality of circulated air being brought into the home. Controller, damper and transformer are included.
