FLOAT & THERMOSTATIC TRAPS

Designed to release condensate and air into return piping. These traps should be selected on the basis of load and pressure differential, not on pipe size. They have a separate thermostatic air by-pass for quiet operation and are especially suited for schools and hospitals.

Cast iron body has 4 possible hook-up combinations; thermostat is one-piece assembly and internal parts are brass or stainless. All working parts accessible without breaking pipe connections. Max. pressure 15 psi.

REPLACE AIR VENTS

Sell new automatic air vents on every replacement boiler installation. The existing air vents may or may not be functional and may cause operational problems through out the entire system. This holds true whether you are installing a hot water system, or a steam system. If the boiler was ready to be replaced, it is safe to assume the air vents are ready to be replaced as well. Don’t forget to replace the main line vents along with radiation vents. Use of the old vents allows the possibility of water seepage from the vents, banging and clanging in the piping, no heat to some radiation, and uneven heat to various sections of radiation. The replacement of the vents will help the system heat evenly thru all of the radiation. Don’t risk the call backs later, sell replacement air vents with each replacement/addon system.
