OIL FIRED CAST IRON SEMI-PACKAGED HYDRONIC BOILERS IN RESIDENTIAL APPLICATIONS

This is a versatile, high efficiency boiler for large residential or light commercial applications and of- fers the installer a choice of Beckett, Carlin or Riello flame retention burners. The G215 series is con- structed of a special grade cast iron which has excellent resistance to corrosion and thermal shock. This is a wet base boiler with a full three pass design for maximum heat transfer and quiet operation.

The G215 series incorporates the Buderus “Thermostream” design. Thermostream water flow design eliminates hot & cold spots in the boiler, minimizes thermal stress, and offers balanced water flow thru each cast iron section. The combination of high efficiency burner, specially designed flue pas- sages, and the Thermostream water flow not only produce the highest A.F.U.E. ratings, but also produce almost no combustion byproducts. This means reduced maintenance and minimum efficien- cy degradation due to soot accumulation. The G-215 boiler can be installed in conjunction with a Buderus Logamatic® control system which not only modulates boiler water temperature according to outdoor temperature for maximum economy, but controls indirect water heater operation, provides night setback, multi-zone control and many other convenience, comfort and energy-saving functions.

The modular design of the G215 series boilers allows them to be installed in conjunction with a Buderus “LT” series indirect domestic water heater in a space-saving stacked arrangement. The high efficiency combination of boiler and water heater provides hot water for both space heating and domestic use in the space of a single appliance. Standard features include swing out burner door with convertible right or left hinges providing easy access to flue passages for cleaning, heavy gauge steel jacket with 3” insulation and durable enamel finish, tridicator gauge, aquastat well, boiler drain and 30 psi relief valve. All models are shipped with sections assembled, less burner/ circulator kit.

Burner/circulator packages must be ordered separately according to desired make of burner. Package includes Beckett, Carlin or Riello burner, Taco 007 circulator with flanges, Honeywell L8148 aquastat and flexible 3’ oil line with fittings. Equiguard® Extended Service Agreements are available for Buderus Boilers.
