The O4HD series furnaces are a time proven design and built to last. Cabinet is construct- ed of 22 gauge steel, finished with thermosetting powder coat for durability. Insulated to prevent energy loss and reduce sound levels. Blower is direct drive and easily removable for ease of service. Furnaces ship with barometric draft control. All furnaces are 115 volt, 15 amp. max fuse.
Note: Registration within 60 days of installation (or within 60 days of occupancy of a new residentially constructed home with these products) required for a total of 10 years limited warranty on residential use equipment. (Standard 5 year limited parts, plus an additional 5 year extended parts warranty) Registration upgrades the warranty on the heat exchanger to a Limited Lifetime warranty.

FURNACE LIMIT TRIP
We experienced the numerous calls from customers wondering why a furnace installed 3 years ago worked OK and now all-of-a- sudden keeps shutting down on high limit. When the old furnace was replaced on the job, an A/C ready furnace was installed in anticipation of adding AC, and this past summer the homeowner finally called them back to install the A/C coil and condensing unit. The furnace worked fine in the A/C mode, but now continues to shut down on the high limit in the heating mode. Shut down continues even after the limit was replaced under warranty.
While it is possible that the limit on the furnace may have been defective, the repeat of the problem after replacement points to another cause. What’s causing the temperature rise that is tripping the limit ? The furnace worked fine in the heating mode on low speed before the coil was installed, but now there is additional resistance to the airflow (the A/C coil). Perhaps the recommended temperature rise stated on the furnace model plate is being exceeded. Perhaps the blower speed has not been increased to keep the temperature rise across the heat exchanger below the maximum recommended temperature rise. Should increasing the blower speed not reduce the temperature difference below maximum, the ductwork becomes suspect and may need to be increased.
