Model 216 MAKE-UP AIR CONTROL

The Skuttle model 216 self-adjusting make-up air control provides a regulated supply of outside air to the return duct during furnace operation. In tightly insulated homes a lack of infiltrated air may starve the furnace of combustion air, resulting in inefficient operation or the furnace’s need for combustion air may cause a negative pressure in the house, resulting in uncomfortable drafts due to leaks around windows and doors. The make-up air control provides sufficient combustion air for systems up to 250,000 BTUH and creates a slight positive pressure in the house to eliminate drafts and infiltration.
