GAS PRESSURE REGULATORS

RV47 and RV48 - Rubber seat poppet models, main burner and pilot applications. All other RV’s - Straight through flow design, main burner applications. 325 - 3L, 325 - 5AL, 325 - 7L - Lever acting pressure regulators for 2 - PSI systems.

GAS PRESSURE REGULATOR SELECTION:

1. Determine the BTU capacity required. a. Single appliance or multiple appliances.

b. Multiple appliance applications will require the addition of all BTU requirements for total BTU load.

2. Determine the pipe size requirement for the total BTU load. 3. Determine the inlet pressure to the regulator.

4. Determine the outlet pressure required when the appliance is operating. 5. Select the regulator to meet the criteria from below. 6. Verify all above conditions have been met with instruments.

Inlet pressure 0.5 psi (RV47, RV48, RV52, RV53) - CSA Certified Inlet pressure 1.0 psi (RV61, RV81, RV91) - CSA Certified to 1/2 PSI
