CORROSION GRENADES

These are 100% zinc anodes designes to dramatically reduce the effects of salt spray on outdoor units. The cor- rosion grenade acts like a sacrificial anode in a water heater, or the sacrifi- cial anodes on boats used in salt water.

Electrolytic corrosion between the dissimilar metals used in an outdoor unit is exacerbated by the introduction of salt water. This anode simply clamps onto the compressor suction line and becomes the sacrificial metal. Thereby protecting the other metals (including aluminum).
