UNIVERSAL WATER HEATER CONTROL

The “ICON” advanced temperature control system sets a new standard in gas water heater control technology. This is an intelligent control with proprietary algorithms to provide enhanced first hour deliver ratings and tighter temperature control. The “ICON” control has advanced LED diagnostics, is millivolt powered, has an integrated piezo igniter, and utilizes a separate immersed thermowell. Once installed, the thermowell remains in the tank eliminating future tank draining should a replace- ment control be required. The “ICON” universal control kit can be used to replace controls used on Bradford White heaters, and many models of White-Rodgers and Robertshaw gas water heater controls. Kit is complete with control, thermowell, pilot assembly, pilot generator, and piezo igniter.

ACCESSORY MODULE PACKAGE

The accessory module is an electronic component that allows the ICON control to be connected to the protection, performance and inlet shut-off valve packages. Fits all diameter water heaters and features multi-color LED status and diagnostics display, with audible alarm on fault occurrence. Contains accessory module, plug-in 24v transformer, wiring harnesses and I&O manual. Required for all accessory package additions.

PERFORMANCE PACKAGE

When connected to the accessory module the performance module provides set-back control with 7 day/4 period programming, hot water capacity indication, battery back-up (to maintain programming in case of power failure) and precision control of water temperature. Includes set-back control, wiring harness, integrated mixing valve, cold water tee, flex connectors and thermo-strip.

PROTECTION PACKAGE

When connected to the accessory module the protection package will sense water near the water heater and activate the audible alarm. The alarm can be reset or temporarily silenced. Easy to install. Includes sensor, water dam, wiring harness and I&O manual.

INLET SHUT-OFF VALVE PACKAGE

When used with the protection package the water inlet shut-off valve package will shut-off the cold water supply to the water heater when a leak is detected. Valve is constructed of brass and mounts di- rectly to the water heater inlet. Valve is 1” NPT and is shipped with 1” x 3/4” NPT bushings. Includes valve, wiring harness and bushings.
