THERMAL SWITCH U/L Listed
The FIROMATIC THERMAL SWITCH is a safety device which provides added protection to fuel burner installations. It is a thermally operated switch installed in the electrical power line to burner. It is normally set at 165°F and removes power if the ambi- ent temperature reaches this point. The burner then shuts off im- mediately. The THERMAL SWITCH is usually positioned on the ceiling, close to the burner. IT SHOULD NOT BE USED manually to start and stop the burner motor. When properly installed, there are no exposed electrical wires or contacts, before or after firing- -this is important. The fusible element is in the handwheel of the switch--after it “fires”, simply replace the handwheel to restore the switch. Contact ratings are: Pilot 120V; 60Hz, 360VA, 1/2 Horse- power, 120V, 60 Hz.

Thermal cut-offs are designed to disconnect power to heating
systems when room temperature exceeds 165°F (or 200°F when op- tional 200°F fuse is ordered). When heating system shuts off, flow of fuel oil or gas is discontinued eliminating the possibility of heater damage, a fire or acceleration of an existing fire. TC-1 fits 3-1/4” and 4” round junction boxes. TC-2 fits 4” square junction boxes.
