EC5000 ENERGY CONTROL MICROPROCESSOR

This microprocessor control from Burnham is the heart of a complete home comfort system, combined with a high efficiency boiler and Alliance™ indirect water heater. The EC5000 provides zone control of up to 4 zones, adjusts boiler temperature according to outside temperature to maintain lowest pos- sible water temperature required for desired comfort level, shuts down boiler before room temperature is satisfied allowing boiler to purge remaining heat and avoid temperature over-run, controls domestic hot water production, and provides programmable night setback functions.

The microprocessor unit receives input from remote room temperature units (RTU) instead of conventional thermostats and an outdoor temperature sensor. The outdoor sensor and 2 RTU’s are included with the EC500. Additional RTU’s can be ordered separately.

PACKAGED GAS BOILERS --STEAM ONLY-- ON HEAT EXCHANGER RESIDENTIAL APPLICATIONS

The popular Independence® Series cast iron boiler is now offered in a completely packaged version for steam applications. Boiler sections, jacket, burners and all controls are all factory pre-assembled and pre-wired making possible greatly reduced installation time in replacement applications. Available in capacities from 51,000 thru 173,000 BTUH (158 thru 542 sq. ft. steam), all models are ASME code constructed and AGA approved for alcove (3-sided enclosure) installations. Additional warranties consist of 1 year limited on entire boiler and a lifetime nipple leakage warranty. Standard equipment includes boiler base assembly, automatic combination gas valve, automatic flue damper, base-burner manifold assembly, flame roll-out switch, blocked vent switch, probe type low water cut-off, vent damper, steam gauge, gauge glass, canopy and draft hood. Steam models available with 24 volt stand- ing pilot or electronic ignition. All models equipped for use with natural gas as shipped. Equiguard® Extended Service Agreements are available for Burnham Boilers.
