Both of these policies can be accessed on the RYA website: www.rya.org.uk/about-us/policies/safeguarding. Below is a list of dos and don’ts to support someone in the moment that they receive a disclosure.
• Keep calm and remain receptive and approachable. • 保持冷静、接纳和平易近⼈的态度。 • Assess the situation, has a crime been committed? Do you need to contact the emergency services? • 评估该情况是否属于犯罪?是否需要联系紧急服务?
• Listen carefully and patiently without interrupting if possible and let the victim recount the details in their own time.
• 仔细耐⼼地聆听,尽可能不要打断,让受害⼈按⾃⼰的节奏讲明细节。 • Use the victim’s own words if you need to seek clarification. • 如要澄清,应使⽤受害者的⽤词。 • If you need more information, use TED: Tell me... Explain to me... Describe to me… • 如需要更多信息,可使⽤TED法:告诉我……,向我解释……,向我描述…… • Acknowledge how difficult it must have been to disclose. • 认同他们的检举⾏为是相当困难的事情。 • Reassure them that they have done the right thing in telling you and they are not to blame. • 安抚他们,告诉他们,向你说明情况是对的决定,他们不会受到责备。 • Let them know that you will do everything you can to help them. • 让他们知道你会尽全⼒来帮助他们。 • Advise the victim what will happen next. • 向受害⼈说明接下来会发⽣的事情。 • Make a written record as soon as you can. • 尽快将情况进⾏书⾯记录。 • Report the disclosure to the Safeguarding team.
