Teaching Sequence: Gybing 教学步骤:顺⻛转向
1. Sail on to a training run with the helm sitting forward, ensuring the boat is flat. 1. 顺⻛⻆度航⾏,舵⼿坐在船前⾯,确保船体平稳。
2a. To gybe, helm checks underneath the boom that the area to leeward is clear, and calls ‘Stand by to gybe.’ 2a. 为了顺⻛转向,舵⼿检查帆杆下⽅下⻛区域,确保空间清晰,然后喊“准备顺⻛转向”。
2b. Crew checks area is clear, responds ‘Yes’ and uncleats but holds jib sheet. If needed, the helm sheets in the mainsail slightly to bring the boom clear of the shroud.
2b. 船员检查确定转向区域清晰,回复“准备好了”,然后拉起卡住的前缭并抓好。如有需要,舵⼿稍稍收紧主帆,避免帆杆 过于靠近侧⽀索。
2c. Balancing the boat, leading with the rear foot and facing forward, the helm moves into the middle of the boat, remaining on course, and rotating the tiller extension forwards while grabbing the mainsheet falls in preparation.
2c. 舵⼿平衡船体,后脚先跨,⾯朝前⽅,移动到船中间,保持航向,将舵柄往前转,同时另⼀只⼿抓住主缭绳圈做好准 备。
3. Helm checks the area again and, if clear, calls ‘Gybe oh’ and pushes the tiller a small amount (15 degrees) to where they had been sitting.
3. 舵⼿再次检查转向区域,如⽆误,则喊“开始顺⻛转向”,然后⼩幅度(15°)将舵推往他们坐着的位置。
4. Helm guides the falls and, as the boom crosses the centreline, the helm swiftly centralises the tiller (so that helm, boom, and tiller are all on the midline simultaneously). Crew moves to sit in the middle/side, balancing the boat, and changing jib sheets.
4. 舵⼿带动绳圈,控制帆杆的转动,⼀旦帆杆转过中⼼线,舵⼿就快速回正舵(这样舵⼿、帆杆和舵柄均同时位于中间 线)。船员坐到船中间/船侧,平衡船体,将前缭换到另⼀舷。
5. Helm sits on the new side and steers (behind back) on the new training-run course. Crew trims new jib sheet.
