The safe approach and recovery of an MOB (upwind approach). 安全地靠近落⽔⼈员并救起(迎⻛靠近)。
Session Considerations 课程要点
• Instructor briefing ashore: • 教练在岸简述: • Background information, why, and how to execute skill • 背景信息,为什么要学习此技术以及如何执⾏ • Visual explanation and order of technique, including Key Teaching Points • 可视化解释说明技巧的操作顺序,包括关键教学点 • Consider a theory session • 考虑上⼀节理论课
• Use a suitable dummy (never use a real person) • 采⽤合适的假⼈(切勿⽤真⼈)
• Once your students have mastered the basic principles, encourage further practice by introducing the helm who ‘falls overboard’. Therefore, when the dummy is dropped over the side, the helm should let go of the tiller and mainsheet, and move out of the way, resulting in the crew having to regain full control of the dinghy
• Outline the aftercare needed for a real casualty • 概述“真”伤员所需的后续护理
Note: Should an MOB happen for real, the MOB should shout or whistle to gain attention. They should ‘float’ in the water, remaining as still as possible to reduce rapid loss of body heat.
