1. The helm and crew climb onto the lower hull (1). Helm releases traveller and mainsheet, crew releases jib. Crew finds righting line (usually in a pocket at the base of the mast) and throws it over the top hull.
Using the righting line for stability, helm and crew move carefully forwards towards the bow. This will cause the bow to ‘dig-in’, which will allow the multihull to pivot head to wind.
