• Ease or drop main, back jib, heel • 松或降主帆,前帆反受⻛,使船倾斜 If grounding on lee shore: 如果在背⻛岸搁浅:
• If quick, you may be able to sheet in the main and tack off. If not, drop the main quickly to avoid being blown on further
• 如果速度够快,你可能可以快速收紧主帆,迎⻛转向驶离。如不可⾏,就快速降下主帆,避免被吹得更远。 • If you have an engine, heel the boat and motor off • 如果船上有装发动机,就倾斜船体,然后开发动机驶离 • With no engine, put out the kedge • 如果没有发动机,就抛出⼩锚,临时停船 • If the tide is falling and no help is available, protect the side of the boat as it dries • 如果持续落潮,且⽆⼈帮助,随着⽔位下降,保护好即将触到底部的那⼀侧
Emergency Steering 紧急掌舵
Keelboats can be steered rudderless by lashing the helm exactly amidships and using sail trim and (to some extent) balance as in a dinghy. Emergency steering can involve the use of an oar, a spinnaker pole or boathook, or even a bucket attached to each quarter.
• At Level 2, keep the power manoeuvres simply to coming alongside and picking up moorings • 在学习级别⼆的课程时,仅在靠船和系泊的时候使⽤发动机 • Demonstrate prop-wash effect by engaging astern while secured alongside • 把船固定到岸边后,将发动机挂倒档,给学员演示螺旋桨涡流效应 • Practise turning the boat under power
