In the unlikely event that a candidate is not considered ready to be moderated, a separate time for moderation will be suggested, along with an agreed action plan.
虽然候选⼈没有准备好被审核的情况很少发⽣,但是如有出现,那审核员会建议该候选⼈单独再⾏审核,并和学员⼀起制定后 续的改善计划。
Trainers will review performance with candidates individually. This will help the moderator to take into account any particular circumstances on the day and to confirm whether or not candidates have proved their competence. The final decisions and course outcome will be delivered by the Trainer.
培训官会和候选⼈单独沟通,回顾课程中的表现。这能帮助审核员认识到审核当天⼀些特定的环境因素,然后再确定候选⼈是 否展现出了⾃⼰的真实⽔平。最后的审核决定和课程结果将由培训官告知候选⼈。
If for some reason a candidate is not entirely successful in a particular area, an action plan will be provided to help develop the candidate and overcome any gaps in knowledge or ability.
如果因为⼀些原因,候选⼈在某些⽅⾯没有合理的表现,那么他们会获得⼀个改善计划,帮助后期继续发展,克服理论知识或 能⼒⽅⾯的不⾜。
The content of an action plan will vary from individual to individual, depending on the reasons and shortfalls for which it is being issued. However, it is generally areas identified as requiring further development using SMART (Specific Measurable Achievable Realistic Timely) to create clear action, progression, and development. For example:
改善计划的内容因⼈⽽异,取决于产⽣问题的原因和学员的不⾜之处。通常是需要学员提⾼的⼀些⽅⾯,⼀般采⽤SMART⽬标 法(明确,可测量,可达成,有现实意义,在限定时间内)来制定,以便明确学员后续的⾏动、进步和提⾼。例如:
• Assist/shadow/be shadowed by an experienced Instructor in the delivery of a given number of specific courses. This may be required to develop further the candidate’s confidence in a ‘real’ teaching environment, or if more time is needed to develop the candidate’s knowledge of certain aspects of the RYA teaching methods
• 在教授特定课程时,得到其他经验丰富的教练的协助或⽆法展现出⾃⼰的⽔平。那么候选⼈就需要在真实的教学环境 中提⾼⾃信,或者花更多时间来深化对RYA教学⽅法某些⽅⾯的理解。
• Attend a future moderation. If a candidate is felt to have understood the teaching methods, but either did not show this during moderation or is felt to need more time, they may be asked to attend a future moderation
• 进⾏进⼀步审核。如果审核员觉得候选⼈是理解教学⽅法的,但是在审核过程中没有展现出来或者觉得他需要更多时 间,那么他可能会要求对候选⼈进⾏进⼀步审核。
• Evidence of prerequisites. In most cases only RYA membership and first aid will be action-planned. All others must be in place prior to attending the course

If you disagree with the decision, the RYA Trainer will discuss the possibility of a reassessment or the procedure for appeal to the RYA.
