The Moulin de Ventre campsite is set on a large forested property in the heart of Haute Provence and close to the Luberon at a height of 375m. Here
is an ideal place to forget the stress of day-to- day life and enjoy the peace of the attractive landscape. The Château de Rousset vineyard is situated about 15 miles/24km away and welcomes visitors. The lavender fields are in flower from late June to mid-July, with the ‘Corso de la lavande’ celebration taking place in Digne in August. The ‘Fête de l’Olivier’ celebrates olive trees and takes place in May each year.
This site is set between two unfenced rivers and a lake. It is ideal for family holidays and provides handicrafts and painting classes for the children. The restaurant uses some of the best regional products on its menus. The numbered pitches are marked out with small hedges and plants with easy access. The river side pitches have a drop into the river, and so should be avoided by families with small children. There is a basic shop on site where bread can be ordered. Fishing permits should be requested in advance from reception.
EXTRA COMMENT Maximum 3 dogs per pitch. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.

Set in 14 acres of parkland along the Varèze River, Kawan Village Le Bontemps makes an excellent base for exploring the surrounding area with sites to visit including the Regional Natural Park of Vercors, the Choranche Caves and the numerous wine cellars of the area; Côte Rôtie and Côtes du Rhône to name but a few. Situated between Lyon and Valence in the Rhône valley and only 12 miles/16km from Vienne. This site also makes an excellent stop-over site on your way down to the South of France as it has a number of drive on/off pitches where your caravan can remain attached to your car.
This beautifully kept site itself is divided into two main areas; one with pitches and the other with recreation facilities including mini-golf, badminton, volleyball, basketball and a fishing lake where fishing is available all season. Most of the grassy, level pitches are easy to access with good shade and there are two sanitary blocks on site. During the high season there is a children’s entertainer and evening entertainment, including discos and music nights.
EXTRA COMMENT Dogs must be well-behaved and on a lead at all times. Category 1 & 2 dogs not permitted. Please see pages 10 & 11 for further details. Maximum of one pet per pitch. An electrical hook-up cable of up to 25m may be required on some pitches.
