The site is east of Girona on the coast, 5 miles/8km from Torroella de Montgri, adjoining a large sandy beach. Whilst many members will be happy to stay on the site soaking up the sun, others may like to venture further afield with a visit to the city of Barcelona. The site organises excursions to mediaeval villages, the Salvador Dali Museum and nature reserves.
Camping El Delfin Verde is very large and commercial with just about every facility available; the dolphin shaped swimming pool is a real feature. The site is very open in aspect with pitches marked out and level, with grass or sand underfoot. The plentiful sanitary facilities are modern and clean, but there is desalinated water in the showers and the toilet blocks, so bottled water should be used for drinking and cooking. The site is very busy during high season with entertainment including flamenco dancing and shows. There is also a children’s club on site during this time and day trips to sites such as Barcelona or Montserrat can be organised by the site.

Situated on the northern Spanish coast at Noja, about halfway between the ports of Santander and Bilbao, this site is ideal for those looking for a sun, sea and sand holiday. It is also an excellent base for members wishing to explore the Basque area. Santona, Laredo and the Cabarceno Park are all within easy reach, as is a day trip into the Pyrénées or France.
Camping Playa Joyel is a large, professionally-run site with direct access to a sandy beach. Some of the individually marked out 80-90m2 pitches are part shaded and some are in the sun. The sanitary blocks are modern and kept very clean. During high season some entertainment is organised, which includes music and films. A children's club is also available for 5 - 10yr olds. There is a high static presence. This is a good site, especially for families, but it does become very busy in high season.
EXTRA COMMENT Site charges for extra tent which is payable on arrival. Pets not permitted on site. Swimming caps are essential in site pool.
