Camping Château de Boisson sits between the Ardèche, Cevennes and Provence in south-west France and makes an excellent starting
point for discovering this area. It is ideally placed for exploring the historic towns of Nîmes, with its maison carrée, Avignon and Uzès, as well as the legendary Pont du Gard over the River Gard. The region also provides a wealth of opportunity for outdoor activities, from exploring the gorges of the Ardèche and the Trabuc caves to canoeing on the Cèze and walking and climbing.
Situated on the slope of a hill, this well maintained site is set on two main levels within 8 hectares of land that surround the chateau. The pitches are of a good size with some partly shaded by mature trees. There are also two newly refurbished toilet blocks, which include disabled facilities. Excellent facilities are available on site including swimming pools, a restaurant and bar. Evening entertainment, such as karaoke, singers and discos, is also occasionally organised.
EXTRA COMMENT Maximum of 2 dogs per pitch. Pets not permitted 09/07-20/08. Do not enter via the village of Boisson with a caravan or motorhome – see our Overseas Campsite Guide 2011 for full directions. Tourist tax must be paid directly to the site on arrival.

Spectacularly situated overlooking the River Truyère, Camping Le Belvédère is located near to the small village of Neuvéglise, which has a market day on Friday. The countryside of this region is magnificent with its châteaux, picturesque villages, stone built houses and the natural hot springs at Chaudes-Aigues. St Flour, the historic capital of the Haute Auvergne, has a market on Saturdays and makes for an interesting day out.
Access to the site is steep and difficult for large outfits; a good power/weight ratio is required. The terraced, shady pitches range in size and offer spectacular views. The two sanitary blocks are kept clean and have individual washing cubicles. There is a programme of activities in July and August for young children and teenagers, but Le Belvédère is a peaceful site and little evening entertainment is organised here. The new owners are keen to ensure visitors enjoy their stay and explore this beautiful area.
EXTRA COMMENT Access to the site can be difficult. Dogs in categories 1 & 2 are not permitted. Please see pages 10 & 11 for further details.
