This site is situated at Venosc on the river bank in the National Park of Ecrins. This area of almost unrivalled beauty is ideal for a wide range of activities. Skiing may be possible all year round at the international ski resort of Les Deux Alpes which can be reached by cable-car from the station nearby. (The cable-car may be closed at certain periods of the year.)

The site, which is located near an unguarded river, is also open in the winter months. The pitches are flat; some grassy and others stony. Larger outfits may find access to pitches difficult. The older style sanitary blocks have hot showers, hot and cold running water and dishwashing facilities, but a key is needed for the toilets at night. There is a small shop for basic provisions, a bar, restaurant and take- away service. There is a swimming pool in the vicinity for which a fee is charged. This site it is a great base for those who enjoy walking and cycling in beautiful surroundings.

EXTRA COMMENT Maximum of 2 dogs per pitch – must be kept on a lead at all times. Dogs in categories 1 & 2 not permitted. Please see pages 10 & 11 for further details. This site is also available to book during the winter months via our Winter Escapes brochure 2011/12.

Lying at the foot of the Vercors mountains at Chabeuil, this busy site provides an ideal base for discovering this little known area of France. The towns of Valence and Romans are within easy reach, as are several famous vineyards including Hermitage and Côtes du Rhône. Local restaurants offer regional delicacies such as goats’ cheese, truffles, lamb and fruit. There are many sporting activities available in the area – even gliding!

The gravelly pitches, a few of which are marked out by rocks, are set in an oak forest which can make access for large caravans or motorcaravans difficult. The site has the unusual feature of refrigeration lockers which are rented out weekly. Sanitary blocks are kept clean and have individual shower and washbasin cubicles. Younger children are very well catered for on site, with entertainment organised in the high season and a large and extensive pool complex. There is a large static caravan presence.

EXTRA COMMENT Pets not accepted in high season 01/07-31/08. In low season there is a maximum of 2 dogs per pitch. Dogs in categories 1 & 2 not permitted. Please see pages 10 & 11 for further details.
