Camping du Pont de Bourgogne is located within walking distance of the historic town of Chalon sur Saône, the second city of Burgundy. In addition to Saint Vincent square and cathedral, the town organises many events throughout the year. Chalon sur Saône is also the home town of the inventor of photography, Nicéphore Niépce and there is a museum dedicated to his craft in the city centre.

This campsite is a tidy and well-maintained site situated on the banks of the river Saône, and run by the same management as Château de l’Epervière (L12). The site is ideal for members wishing to break their journey en route to the south of France as it is only a short distance from the main A6 autoroute. It is also great for those looking for a short city break. The large, grassy pitches are all clearly marked out by hedges. There are new, recently refubished sanitary facilities, which are kept very clean although could become stretched in high season. The emphasis on this site is peace and quiet, but the site does organise canoe excursions in high season.

EXTRA COMMENT No more than 2 families travelling together. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.

Situated in the mountainous massif of the Morvan and near the Celtic and Gallo-roman city of Bibracte, this site is in an ideal location for exploring both the historic towns in the area and the surrounding countryside of the Morvan National Park. Sites to visit include the mountain of Mount Beuvray, the Canal of Nivernais, the city of Vézelay with its vineyards and wine tasting and the famous ‘Route des Vins’.

Camping Le Manoir de Bezolle is a peaceful site set in the beautiful Burgundy countryside. It has large grassy pitches, some of which are marked by trees and shrubs. Access to pitches is generally good however some are accessed by a steep road which could be difficult for larger outfits. Site facilities include two outdoor pools for use in the summer months. There are also three lakes on the site, one of which can be used for fishing. In high season the English site owners organise some entertainment, including music evenings and BBQs, and horse and cart rides are also possible from the site.
