Nestled between Nancy and Strasbourg in the heart of the Vosges, this small family-run site with a focus on the eco-friendly provides a great

base for discovering this striking region. Close to both the mountains and the forests of the Vosges, the site is also within easy range of the Alsace region, as well as Switzerland and Germany. The culturally rich cities of Colmar, Nancy and Strasbourg are all within reach for day trips and there are many medieval sites and castles to admire in the area.

Bordered by a small stream, Camping au Clos de la Chaume is located at the entrance to the village of Corcieux. This site has 60 grassy touring pitches, all on average 100m2 with easy access and marked out by hedges. The two sanitary blocks have both been recently refurbished and are kept very clean. There is a weekly children’s club in high season, but no evening entertainment is organised on site, with the owners instead emphasising the peaceful atmosphere.

EXTRA COMMENT Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.

Camping Le Penboch, Brittany

Many members will be familiar with the Sites et Paysages group of campsites in France. These family run sites are more than just a group of campsites; they are a family sharing common values.

For over 20 years, the French camping and caravanning group Sites et Paysages has been providing a selection of campsites that let you discover the true beauty of France and its regions. All the sites are individually designed, independently managed, and have been awarded 3 or 4 stars. They also are all near historical or cultural landmarks, in areas devoted to tourism.

Their values focus on offering campsites with a warm welcome, a friendly atmosphere and a place to relax and experience the joys of France, from the coast to the mountains.

For 2011 we are working with 5 more Sites et Paysages sites. For more information on this chain visit www.caravanclub.co.uk.
