Only 3 miles/4.8km from Potsdam and within easy reach of central Berlin, this site is set in a former Royal forest alongside the Templiner lake. There are 16 beautiful castles to be visited in the surrounding area and boat trips can be taken on the surrounding lakes. The site operates a free shuttle each morning/ evening to and from the local station for the tram, rail or bus into Potsdam/Berlin and tickets for local tours can be purchased through reception. Local attractions include Sanssouci Palace, New Palace, a film museum and a brewery in Potsdam. Berlin offers visitors many varied museums, including one at Checkpoint Charlie, plus the Brandenburg Gate, the Panorama viewing platform with Europe’s fastest lift and many department stores and boutiques.
Situated in a woodland setting, the pitches are marked out by trees, which could make access to some pitches difficult for larger outfits. The site has a small lakeside beach and adjacent to this, an area for mooring boats. There is a good restaurant on site with English menus and a selection of local dishes. The site is very well managed and maintained, with staff who can help you make the most of your stay.
