This site is ideally positioned to explore the ‘Garden of France’, otherwise known as the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Loire
valley, noted for its beautiful landscapes and impressive architectural heritage. The medieval cities of Tours, the largest city in the region with a 15th century cathedral and botanical gardens, and Poitiers, are within easy reach for a great day out. Trips to the many vineyards dotted around the region and the impressive châteaux, including Grillemont, Le Grand-Pressigny and Le Rivau, are also a must. Or for a more 21st century experience, why not try the Futuroscope Park near Poitiers.
Camping Parc de Fierbois is set in a hundred- year-old forest and is popular for the quality of its grounds, having won awards for its flowers and plants. It is a neat and tidy site with large grass pitches marked out by hedges. An extensive pool complex and onsite lake, with its own artificial beach, makes this site a good choice for families. There is also a children’s club during high season and evening entertainment is organised. Ask at the site reception for details on how to buy tickets to local attractions such as Futuroscope, the Zoo de Beauval and several châteaux.
EXTRA COMMENT Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.

Les Castels is a quality chain of independently-run campsites throughout France. Characterised by their authenticity, they have old charming buildings and châteaux, flora, fauna and more.
Each Castels campsite has a unique character where comfort is seen in all aspects of daily life and where diversity forms part of the chain’s identity. Of various sizes and styles, they all share the fact that they offer high-quality facilities and accommodation which follows the ‘Les Castels Quality Charter’ and which aim to make your holiday a success.
The Club has worked with some of the campsites in the chain for as long as 25 years and through several generations of the same families. We are proud to say that we are now working with 27 Les Castels sites across France for more details on Les Castels visit our website
