The site is located near Bayeux, about 20 miles/32km from the Caen ferry terminal and within a relatively comfortable driving
distance from Cherbourg. There is plenty to see and do in the area, including visits to the historic Bayeux Tapestry, the Normandy Landing beaches and the beautiful countryside of the Suisse Normande.
Camping Château de Martragny has grassy pitches, which are not clearly delineated, but laid out on the picturesque lawns surrounding the Château. The site can become busy in high season and facilities may be stretched. There are washing machines and WC style toilets, with many modern washbasins in private cubicles. The swimming pool also includes a sunbathing area and the site offers a range of other activities to enjoy, such as cycling and tennis.
EXTRA COMMENT A long electrical lead is required for some pitches. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.

This is a large, level site with both touring and static pitches, with easy access to the numerous beaches of the Normandy coastline. The towns of Caen, St Malo and Bayeux are just a short drive away with Mont St Michel and Dinan further afield. Why not sample the excellent seafood restaurants or the cider for which the region is noted?
This well-run, attractive site is a combination of a residential park and a large, level touring site. Some of the pitches are on grass, others are on sand. There is a special area for members leaving early or arriving late with electricity and water available. There are modern sanitary blocks with shower, toilets, limited disabled facilities and chemical disposal points. There is a modern pool area with paddling pool and the site provides a range of entertainment and activities in high season.
EXTRA COMMENT Dogs in categories 1 & 2 are not permitted. Please see pages 10 & 11 for further details. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
