The site is at Ravenoville-Plage, not far from Ste Mère Église on the Cherbourg peninsula and has direct access across a main road to a wide, sandy beach. Whilst ideal for overnight stops to or from the port, the site is also an excellent base for visiting the Normandy Landing beaches, with Utah Beach being the nearest. The Bayeux Tapestry and Mont St Michel make interesting days out, and further afield, a trip to the countryside of Suisse Normande should not be missed.

Camping Le Cormoran is a popular family-run site. The pitches are large and grassy and the toilet blocks are well maintained. In the high season the site organises a programme of entertainment including bingo, karaoke and evening shows. Static caravans are present on site. The site has an extended pool area, and special pitches designed for those members taking an early departure for a ferry.

EXTRA COMMENT Dogs in categories 1 and 2 not permitted. Please see pages 10 & 11 for further details. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.

Camping-Caravaning Risle-Seine Les Etangs, to give it its full name, is located on the outskirts of Pont Audemer, near the Pont de Normandie. With easy access to the port of Le Havre and the pretty harbour and restaurants of Honfleur close by, the site is an ideal stopover point but also suitable for longer stays. Trips to Lisieux and Rouen make interesting days out and there is an 5m/8km walk around the adjoining woods and lakes.

This small, clean and tidy site is run by an English speaking manager. It is ideal for members looking for peaceful holidays. All pitches are marked out by trees and shrubs which offer some shade. Next door is a large lake where a variety of watersports are possible. There are two main toilet blocks which are kept extremely clean and include disabled facilities and chemical disposal. Set at the rear of the site is a play area and volleyball pitch.
