This naturist site is close to Vielle St Girons, on the coast north of Biarritz. It has direct access to the beautiful sandy beaches of the Atlantic Coast. In July and August there is a lifeguard on duty as the sea can be quite rough with dangerous currents. For those wishing to venture further afield, Bordeaux, Biarritz and the Pyrenees make interesting days out.

Members should note that this is a NATURIST site which offers a full range of facilities so that members need never leave the site. The site has clean sanitary facilities. Most pitches are shaded by tall pine trees, which members with large outfits may find difficult to access. There are spa facilities on site including a sauna, jacuzzi and various body treatments. During high season the site organises a full range of daytime activities including a mini-club for children and various sports competitions. Rafting trips and excursions to a nature reserve can be arranged by the site. A Naturist pass is not required for couples and families. There is a large number of statics on site.

EXTRA COMMENT Maximum of 1 animal per pitch and must be kept on a lead at all times. A torch may be required as some areas of the site are unlit. Although this site does have disabled facilities, the terrain does not make it suitable for wheelchair users.

Camping Le Col Vert is set in a large pine forest near the town of Vielle St Girons, close to the sandy beaches of the Atlantic coast. Day excursions may be made to Bordeaux, Biarritz and the Armagnac region. The site organises farm visits and trips to the nature reserve at Courant d’Huchet.

This very large and busy site borders the sandy shore of Lake Leon – a freshwater lake which shelves gradually, making it suitable for children to paddle and swim (lifeguard on duty during July and August). Windsurfing, sailing and canoeing are all possible in the lake and there is a covered pool and wellness centre for rainy days. Pitches are of average size and offer plenty of shade. The strictly limited lakeside pitches are subject to a supplement payable locally. Entertainment is organised in high season. This is an ideal campsite for families with children and teenagers looking for active holidays. There is a large number of statics on site.

EXTRA COMMENT Maximum one dog per pitch. A torch may be required as some areas of the site are unlit.
