Knock Caravan Park is situated in Knock village, best known for its national shrine, attracting visitors from far afield. The site is an ideal base for touring County Mayo and the west of Ireland. Galway, Westport and Sligo are only an hour’s drive away with Achill Island and Connemara within easy reach. There is plenty to do nearby including fishing and golf. The Museum of Country Life is housed in modern buildings in the grounds of Turlough Park and makes an interesting visit.


This small site has flat hard-standing pitches set in lovely undulating countryside. There are a number of mobile homes on site. The office, community room and sanitary facilities, including free showers, are all located in one central building with a second sanitary block also available. There are restaurants, takeaways, a garage and shops all present in Knock village 0.3 miles/ 0.5km away.


EXTRA COMMENT Some noise from Shrine when services are broadcast on tannoy, which can be loud. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. Dogs in categories 1 & 2 are not permitted. Please see pages 10 & 11 for further details.

The site is situated on the outskirts of the village of Glenbeigh and commands a beautiful view of Rossbeigh Strand, which is a short drive from the site. Glenross is an ideal base for touring the Ring of Kerry, Killarney and Dingle.


Glenross Caravan and Camping Park is a small campsite which has been awarded four stars by Bord Failte. There is one central toilet block with pay showers (€1), as well as a games room, kitchen and laundry facilities. Pitches are clearly marked out, most are hardstanding and all have easy access. The hotel next door serves meals and has traditional music and dance nights on Friday and Saturday evenings. The village shops are within easy walking distance. Bikes can be hired from the site in high season and there are many other activities in the area surrounding the site. Please speak to the staff on site who can suggest a whole range of days out and places to visit.
