Camping Les Pinèdes is located in the Provencal village of La Colle sur Loup near Cagnes sur Mer. This is a good base to discover the Côte d’Azur and

the Provence region. The site is set in a forest of oak and pine trees and is only a few miles away from the beautiful beaches of the French Riviera. Close by runs the pretty Loup River, where swimming is possible.

Pitches are terraced and vary in size. They are all clearly marked out with hedges and walls. Access to pitches is up a steep slope and can be difficult, especially for large outfits, although the site owner is happy to assist members on to their pitch. There are two sanitary blocks, one of which was recently refurbished; both are kept very clean. The site organises entertainment and walks in high season, however, the owners stress that the emphasis is on maintaining the relatively quiet atmosphere.

EXTRA COMMENT Dogs in category 1 are not permitted. Please see pages 10 & 11 for further details. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times, and only 1 dog is allowed per pitch.

Domaine de Massereau is located near to the medieval city of Sommières in the grounds of the Massereau estate, which has been

in the same family since 1804. The vineyards surrounding the campsite are still operational, and you will be able to sample the local produce during your stay. There is plenty to see and do in the area with walking, horseriding and canoeing all possible nearby. The Mediterranean coast, the Camargue area and Montpellier are also within easy reach.

This newly created site was the first site in France to achieve the 5 star rating and has large pitches which are clearly delimited. Because the site is set in woodland, there are many trees, which provide shade. Some pitches may be uneven, which might make pitching difficult, but the campsite owner will assist any members experiencing difficulties. There is a large static presence. For active members of the family the site has a large swimming pool with waterslide, a trampoline, a running track and play area on site, whilst others may prefer to relax with a glass of the local wine in the restaurant!

EXTRA COMMENT Maximum 2 pets per pitch. Category 1 dogs not permitted. Please see pages 10 & 11 for further details.
