Domaine des Forges is perfectly located for discovering the Atlantic Coast and is an ideal base for exploring the Vendée region with
its beautiful beaches and towns. Day trips to the Puy de Fou or the Chateau de Guignardiere at Avrillé are possible and the fishing towns of Les Sables-d’Olonne and Tranche-sur-Mer also make great days out and have excellent seafood restaurants. Weekly markets are held in Jard-sur-Mer and Talmont-Saint-Hilaire for those who want to discover more of the local culture.
Developed around a 16th century manor house, Domaine des Forges stretches across 14 hectares of land in a beautiful setting. This neat site has large grass pitches, which are separated by young hedges and shrubs. The sanitary blocks have been recently refurbished and are kept very clean. There are facilities for both children and adults, including a 2 hectare fishing lake on site, a children’s club and evening entertainment which is organised in high season.
EXTRA COMMENT Maximum of 1 dog per pitch. Dogs in categories 1 & 2 not permitted. Please see pages 10 & 11 for more details. Arrivals on site must be after 1400 hrs.

Pavillon Royal is situated just south of Biarritz near Bidart and has direct access to a sandy beach. You can soak up the sun or take a short drive to the Spanish border or the Pyrénées. The town of Lourdes would also make an interesting day trip. Local markets are held every day in Biarritz.
This site is set in a beautiful location overlooking the Atlantic Sea, with direct to access down a fairly steep path to a sandy beach which is patrolled by a lifeguard in the high season. The site offers sunny and shady pitches which are marked out by hedges, trees and shrubs. In high season when the site gets very busy the access roads can cause problems for larger outfits. This very popular and well maintained site organises some entertainment in high season, and is re-visited by members year after year.
EXTRA COMMENT No animals permitted on site. Long electric leads may be required in some instances.
