Prices from

Camping Gritt is situated alongside the unfenced river Sûre on the edge of Ingeldorf village, which is linked by cycle paths to both Ettelbruck and Diekirch where you can find museums and shops. There are numerous places of interest to visit in the area including the town of Vianden with its impressive château, Larochette with its castle and medieval square, and of course the cosmopolitan capital Luxembourg.

The good size grass pitches are numbered and most are backed by well established trees and shrubs. All of the pitches have electrical hook-up and some have drainage. There are two heated sanitary blocks, one of which is new. Both have chemical disposal points. There is a limited entertainment programme on site, although a children’s club is organised in high season and there is a weekly campfire night. The site is very quiet, which makes it a perfect location for an overnight stop, or a longer stay if you enjoy a peaceful atmosphere just a short distance from the delights of Luxembourg.

Camping auf Birkelt is set in a pleasant wooded hilltop location, not far from the city of Luxembourg, the Moselle Valley and Germany. It is close to Larochette, an old market town in a valley which has two partially rebuilt castles, a medieval square and museum. The towns of Diekirch, Ettelbruck, Vianden and the Little Switzerland walking area are within easy reach.

Pitches at this large, lively site are of average size, marked out by trees offering some shade. The well-equipped sanitary blocks, which includes 1 new block, may be stretched in high season. The heated public swimming pool, free for campers, is adjacent to the site and has a retractable dome roof. Evening entertainment is organised in high season, including concerts, bingo and shows.

EXTRA COMMENT Access may be difficult for larger outfits. Maximum of 2 dogs per pitch. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
