Situated quite close to the small town of Ingrandes-sur-Vienne, the site is ideal for visiting the châteaux at Chinon and Azay-le-
Rideau and the Jardin de Villandry. Nearby Chatellerault offers sports activities, cafés and museums. The Loire valley, Futuroscope and Poitiers make interesting day trips.
This site has grassy pitches, which are slightly sloping and of a good size. Some of the outbuildings of the 16th century manor house have been used to house the site’s facilities including one of the toilet blocks and the library. During the high season there is a children's club and some evening entertainment is organised. The site reception, located in the château, also offers many leaflets of interesting things to do in the area, such as bread and wine tasting visits, walks and guided tours.
EXTRA COMMENT BBQs are not permitted when the weather is very hot. The site entrance is narrow and could cause problems for larger outfits. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.

Set on the unfenced banks of the river Cher, close to the renowned château of Chenonceau, this site is a good base for visiting the many châteaux of the region as well as a wide range of other attractions. However, the site’s English owners create a friendly atmosphere so you may wish to spend a few days simply relaxing on the site. Activities by day for children and adults include castle-building competitions and boules tournaments. By night, wine tasting and musical events may also be organised.
Camping Le Moulin Fort is a well laid out, medium-sized site with a range of shrubs and bushes separating the grassy pitches. The wash blocks have recently been refurbished and are kept clean and some new play park equipment has been added. The old mill house is home to the bar, shop and reception. Look out for the information points around the site giving details on local flora and fauna, and for the stunning views across the river.
EXTRA COMMENT Maximum three dogs per pitch. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
