Camping Beau Rivage’s location between the Atlantic coast and the Pyrenean mountains, nestled between the ramparts of the fortified town of Navarrenx and the fast flowing Gave d’Oloron, means there is an enormous range of holiday activities available. Outstanding scenery makes cycling and walking great days out, as well canoeing and watersports on the river. This site is also on the pilgrim route to Santiago de Compostela so the area is rich in medieval history. The pilgrim centre at St Jean Pied de Port or the nearby Chateau de Laàs or Chateau de Pau are all well worth a visit; as is the little train at Artouste for a great family day out.
The site itself is well cared for with pitches on average 100m2, well laid out and marked by hedges, some of which are newly planted. There are several chalets on site, but the majority of this small and peaceful site is made up of touring pitches. The sanitary facilities are kept very clean and there are also excellent disabled facilities. The English speaking owners at Camping Beau Rivage work hard to maintain an ecologically friendly environment, with water heated by solar panels for example.
EXTRA COMMENT Maximum of 2 dogs per pitch and must be kept on a lead at all times.

Nestled in the foothills of the Pyrenees, close the ski resort of La Mongie and the famous Col du Tourmalet, this site is ideally located
for exploring this stunning mountain range. Sited in the village of Sazos and close to the town of Luz Saint Sauveur, Pyrenévasion has beautiful views of the surrounding peaks. Close by is the magnificent Cirque de Gavarnie, definitely worth a visit, as well as the world famous city of Lourdes, home to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes.
Camping Pyrénévasion is a small, family run site which boasts 60 pitches for touring caravans, all well laid out on level grassy terraces. Measuring on average 100m2, the pitches are partly shaded and mostly marked out by hedges. In high season a children’s club is available and there is also some evening entertainment arranged on site. This site is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, from walkers and mountaineers to cyclists, and the site can book a range of day trips and walks from reception.
EXTRA COMMENT Maximum 2 animals per pitch. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. Dogs in categories 1 & 2 are not permitted. Please see pages 10 & 11 for further details.
