Camping La Forêt is located near the village of Pezuls and set in beautiful countryside. The bustling market town of Le Bugue is a short drive away and the site is an ideal base for exploring the Dordogne. Nearby visits include Sarlat, the ancient capital of Périgord Noir and Les Eyzies-de-Tayac, famous for its associations with Cro-Magnon Man.

This is a very simple and rustic Dutch-run site, with the emphasis on peace and quiet and basic facilities. Surrounded by hills and forests, the majority of the grassy pitches are set in a glade of small oak trees which might cause difficulty manoeuvring larger outfits. A nature lover’s paradise; there are rare wild orchids in the meadow on site during May and June, and plenty of other wildlife besides. There are two basic sanitary blocks. Although many clients return to this site each year, some members may find the facilities limited.

EXTRA COMMENT Most caravans will need wedges. No twin axles permitted.

Situated in the middle of vineyards on the outskirts of St Emilion, this site must be a wine enthusiast’s dream. Stop off at one of the many local vineyards to taste their products and maybe buy a bottle or two to take home as a souvenir! For those who want to venture further afield Bordeaux makes an interesting day out.

Situated on a lakeside, Domaine de La Barbanne offers a selection of shaded good size pitches. There are two modern sanitary blocks with excellent facilities. This site proves very popular with Club members, who appreciate the peaceful and well-run atmosphere, and the free shuttle bus to St Emilion. Canoes and pedaloes are available on the adjacent lake free of charge and the site also recently installed a fitness and mountain bike circuit for more active members!

EXTRA COMMENT Dogs in categories 1 & 2 not permitted. Please see pages 10 & 11 for further details. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
