Near the village of Villefranche de Queyran, Moulin de Campech makes an ideal base for discovering Lot et Garonne. There are local markets at Casteljaloux on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Travelling further afield, Bordeaux is within easy reach, as is Agen for shopping and sightseeing.

Set in a wooded valley, this small, British- owned touring only site is set behind an old mill which has a large troutfishing lake to the front. The site has large grassy pitches with most clearly marked out. The old sanitary facilities are kept clean and have both WCs and Continental style toilets. The atmosphere is one of peace and quiet, but the site organises some evening entertainment including a barbecue and quiz night. This site is suitable for couples looking for relaxing holidays and nature lovers, who may see deer, red squirrels, herons, birds of prey, golden orioles, kingfishers and lizards. You can sample local wines and Armagnac in the area and there are many possibilities for walking and cycling.

EXTRA COMMENT Dogs and cats must be kept on a lead at all times. The restaurant and take-away will be closed from 25/04 to 04/05 inclusive.

Lac des Trois Vallées, a member of the Yelloh! Village chain, is a large, commercial site, close to Lectoure, south of Agen, with good access via the A62 Bordeaux-Toulouse autoroute. It is ideally placed for day trips to Lourdes, Andorra and the Pyrénées.

Being a lakeside site, there is the possibility of participating in many watersports, such as canoeing and kayaking. Swimming is permitted in certain parts of the lake (where waterchutes provide a speedy entry into the water!), whilst fishing is possible in a smaller lake. This well-run site is hilly and sloping in parts and offers both sunny and shady pitches, all of which are clearly marked out. There are plenty of activities for children and teenagers on site and it is possible to hire pedaloes. Regular entertainment is organised every night in the high season. All the sanitary blocks are very modern and can be very busy in high season.

EXTRA COMMENT Maximum 2 dogs per pitch. Dogs in categories 1 & 2 are not permitted. Please see pages 10 & 11 for further details. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. Reptiles are not permitted.
