Le Pin Parasol is a family-run site on the banks of the Lac du Jaunay, close to the village of La Chapelle Hermier and about a 15 minute drive from the sandy beaches of the Vendée. Whilst the seaside will have obvious appeal, this inland site offers a good base for all the family in a quieter location.
The campsite has large, grassy pitches separated by small hedges. The emphasis here is on a quiet family holiday with good quality facilities. There is access to the lake down a small path, where canoeing and fishing are possible. In addition, there is plenty of space on site for families, with an extensive children’s play area, internet access on every pitch, an adventure zone for older children and large swimming pool complex with several waterslides and covered pool. An entertainment programme is organised in high season, and some excursions to local places of interest can be booked on site.
EXTRA COMMENT Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.

Camping La Venise Verte, which has been awarded the European Ecolabel, is located in the village of Coulon in the area known as Green Venice. This
beautiful inland area is ideal for nature lovers, with walking, cycling, canoeing, bird watching and fishing all possible. In addition, the site is a good base for exploring the region with many places of interest such as La Rochelle, Rochefort, Futuroscope and the Puy du Fou within easy reach.
The site is has a rural setting with flat, grassy pitches which are all marked out and may be tight for larger outfits. There is one well maintained sanitary block on site. Whilst the site management places the emphasis on peace and quiet, a wide range of activities is proposed in high season to help guests make the most of their stay in the region including dance lessons, archery, arts & crafts and excursions into the nearby marshland. It is also possible to hire boats from the site.
EXTRA COMMENT Dogs in categories 1 & 2 not permitted. Please see pages 10 & 11 for further details.
