Camping Le Colombier is located 8 miles/ 13km north east of Lisieux at Moyaux. This area is considered by many to be the most beautiful part of Normandy and there is plenty to see and do. Visits to the local villages and towns, such as Caen and Rouen are recommended, and you can also sample the fine cheeses and ciders from this area.
Located in the well-kept grounds of the Château, this is a well-managed family owned site with clean washing and toilet facilities. The large flat grassy pitches are marked out by trees. The converted dovecote houses a bar and library. The site organises some entertainment and activities such as swimming galas, tennis tournaments and concerts, however the emphasis is on peace and quiet. The site also runs a crêperie and take-away meal service. Please note the site is closed to traffic 22.30-08.00 and there is minimal exterior parking.
EXTRA COMMENT A torch is recommended due to poor lighting in some areas. An extension lead is also needed for some pitches. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.

Camping Les Hautes Coutures lies approximately 300 yards/274m from the village of Bénouville and there are many places of interest to visit, including the Normandy landing beaches, Deauville, Caen Memorial Museum for Peace, Bayeux, Rouen and Mont St Michel. There are also numerous good restaurants in the coastal towns specialising in seafood.
The site, which overlooks the Caen Canal, is part-sloping and an extension has recently been added with solar powered lighting. Access to some pitches can be tight when site is busy. Laundry facilities and chemical disposal points are housed in the sanitary blocks. This site is a convenient overnight stop for members en route to or from the ferry. There is an area with large pitches, which would be suitable for groups. This site can become busy and noisy in high season and mixed reports have been received in 2010. A children’s club is organised in high season. Large mobile home presence.
EXTRA COMMENT Some road noise has been reported in the past. Dogs in categories 1 & 2 are not permitted. Please see pages 10 & 11 for futher details. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
