This recently renovated site is located near the city of Langres. With its old ramparts and ancient city centre, Langres has previously been voted one of France’s most historic cities. This area of southern Champagne is also particularly good for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers, with its lakes, canals and countryside.
Situated only a short distance from the A5, Camping du Lac de la Liez is well placed for an overnight stop en route to the south of France and is frequently used as such. However, there is plenty to do if you want to stay for longer, including the indoor pool complex and the large lake which has a beach and a harbour where it is possible to hire boats and pedaloes. All the pitches on site are large, level and fully serviced with panoramic views of the lake. The location of the site means a steep walk to and from the lake. Some entertainment is organised in high season.
EXTRA COMMENT Maximum of 2 dogs per pitch, which must be kept on a lead at all times.

Camping Lac d’Orient is a popular site from which to explore the department of Aube and the rest of the Champagne-Ardennes region, famous for its sparkling wines and vineyards. For great days out why not visit the Forêt d’Orient National Park or the nearby Roman town of Troyes, which holds the Museum of Modern Art and the 13th century Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul de Troyes cathedral. This site is also perfect as a stop- over site due to its proximity to the A26.
This gently sloping site, run by English speaking owners is sited amongst lovely mature trees, above the Lac d’Orient. The large grassy pitches, some marked out with hedges, are easily accessed by tarmac and gravel roads. There is one new and one older style sanitary block, which are both kept clean and have excellent disabled facilities. The emphasis here is on peace and quiet and evening activities are rare, although a children’s club is run during the high season.
EXTRA COMMENT Maximum 1 pet per pitch. Dogs in categories 1 & 2 not permitted. Please see pages 10 & 11 for further details. Dogs must be on a lead at all times.
