The site is located in the seaside town of St-Hilaire-de-Riez, a short distance from the wide, sandy beaches of the Vendée. The fishing port of St Gilles-Croix-de-Vie is within easy reach and you can visit Le Puy du Fou or take a cruise to the Ile d’Yeu.
This is a relaxed family-run site separated in two sections; each has a unisex sanitary block which have had mixed reports in previous years. Pitches are grassy, many with shade and all clearly delimited. Access may be difficult for very large outfits. There is a covered pool and jacuzzi (for adults only), plus an outdoor pool. Bread and ice cream are on sale at the site bar with further provisions available from nearby supermarkets. Some entertainment is organised in high season, however, in the low season this site is fairly quiet. There is a large static presence.
EXTRA COMMENT Dogs in categories 1 & 2 are not permitted. Please see pages 10 & 11 for further details.

Camping La Bolée d’Air is a commercial site which can be extremely busy in high season. Pitches are laid out in triangular shapes and access to some may be difficult for large outfits. The swimming pool has a heated indoor section with a whirlpool. In the high season the site organises some children’s activities and evening entertainment. This site can be noisy in high season due to the nearby road and late night entertainment.
