The site is in the picturesque town of Le Grand Bornand, which offers walking and trout fishing in summer and skiing in winter. The ski resort of Chinaillon is a short bus drive away. Annecy, Chamonix and Geneva make for good days out.

Camping L’Escale is family-run and is terraced with flat, open pitches, which are clearly numbered. The main toilet block is well equipped with WCs, showers and individual washing cubicles and is heated in winter with washing and drying facilities. The site has two tennis courts and is only a short walk to the village, where you can go shopping – keep an eye out for the famous local cheeses.

EXTRA COMMENT Dogs in categories 1 & 2 not permitted. Please see pages 10 & 11 for further details. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. This site is also available to book during the winter months via our Winter Escapes brochure 2011/12.
