At the royal visit of His Majesty King Willem-Alexander, King of the Netherlands, to Duisburg, the RH₂INE network proudly presents its outstanding example of cross border cooperation and corridor approach and shows its continuous commitment to the realisation of a joint H₂-ecosystem in corridor transport.RH₂INE frontrunners’ readiness to scale up for the sake of implementing standardised and modular hydrogen solutions in Inland Waterway Transportation will lead to the establishment of a zero emission transport corridor in the near future.
November 2024 May 2024
During the World Hydrogen Week in Rotterdam, the Condor H₂ ‘a project by RH₂INE’ group convened to finalize studies on a pay-per-use model for hydrogen storage and fuel cells. With standardized, interchangeable ‘tanktainers,’ a significant step can be taken toward zero- emission inland navigation.
The flag exchange of ms Letitia, a project by the Heuvelman family with outfitting completed by Olthof, marks a milestone as the third company to successfully transition to hydrogen propulsion. Congratulations from the port industry and politics, as seen in this photo with Regional Ministers Arne Weverling and Frederik Zevenbergen from the Province of Zuid-Holland, highlight the significance of this joyful occasion.

March 2024
The RH₂INE team pulls out all the stops during the Connecting Europe Days. The delegation, led by Jeannette Baljeu, Deputy of the Province of Zuid-Holland, makes its mark on several sessions during and around this key networking event in Brussels. Among other topics, the concept of insetting is introduced—a method that decouples the pricing of carbon reduction from the actual transport performance.
September 2024
During the annual RH₂INE network conference, the key to the program office—until then managed by the Province of Zuid-Holland and North Rhine- Westphalia—is symbolically handed over to WaterstofNet. This transition expands leadership to include multiple partners, regions, and ports. The new structure provides the flexibility and continuity needed to facilitate the desired scaling up.
December 2024
The newly formed Steering Committee of RH₂INE meets for the first time. Under the leadership of the new program management provided by WaterstofNet, the members (8 regions, 4 ports) establish the work agenda for 2025.
