DAY 5 Cordoba & Granada The beautiful city of Granada is our base for the next two nights and we’ll journey here today, visiting Cordoba en route. Perhaps Spain’s most Moorish city, Cordoba enjoys a beautiful position on a bend of the Guadalquivir River. Our tour will take us to the Great Mosque or Mezquita, considered a masterpiece of Islamic architecture, and now a Catholic cathedral. We’ll also admire the old whitewashed houses with their flower-
filled patios opening onto winding streets and small squares in the old Jewish quarter.
URBAN DREAMS OR MACIA REAL DE LA ALHAMBRA (4-STAR)
DAY 6 Granada The world-famous Alhambra Palace is a highlight of any trip to this region and we’ll visit today. A splendid example of intricate Moorish architecture, the magnificent complex stands on a hilltop overlooking the city and is backed by the snowy peaks of the Sierra Nevada.

DAY 7 Malaga & Mijas Nestled in the foothills of the Sierra de Mijas Mountains, the delightful town
of Mijas has charming cobbled streets lined with whitewashed houses and offers spectacular views reaching to the coast. We’ll return here today via Malaga, a cosmopolitan city set on a beautiful bay of the Mediterranean. We will pass by the key sights before stopping off at the Picasso museum, housing the works of Pablo Picasso, Malaga’s favourite son. There will lso be an opportunity to see the old town. DAY 8 Malaga to UK Today we’ll transfer to the airport for our flight back to the UK.
