DAY 1 UK to Vienna You will fly to Vienna today. Get to know your travelling companions and meet the crew over cocktails and an Austrian-themed dinner on board MS Vivaldi.


DAY 2 Vienna Vienna is a diverse city with a vibrant culture, a vast imperial history and intriguing architecture. Why not join an optional guided tour, visiting the famous Ring – a smart boulevard lined with fine buildings, including the State Opera, the Hofburg Palace, the Natural History Museum and the Burgtheatre, one of the most important German language theatres in the world. This afternoon we’ll set sail for Budapest.


DAY 3 Budapest Known as the Pearl of the Danube, Budapest is Hungary’s bustling capital. The river splits the city into two parts, with the modern buildings and busy streets of Pest on one side

and the historic quarters of Buda on the other. Join an optional guided tour of the city, beginning in Buda. Here we’ll take in the famous Chain Bridge, the enchanting castle quarter, the Fisherman’s Bastion and the Matthias Church – the oldest in the city. Then we’ll admire Pest’s highlights, including Heroes’ Square, the Szechenyi thermal baths and Vajdahunyad Castle. We’ll also discover the city’s famous parliament building before returning to the ship by boat. Enjoy a memorable folk evening on board before departing for Bratilsava.


DAY 4 Bratislava Once the capital of Hungary, Bratislava now serves as Slovakia’s diverse capital city. Why not join an optional panoramic tour including a visit to Bratislava Castle, which harks back to medieval times. Take in the spectacular views over the Danube from the ramparts before entering the Old Town through Michael’s Gate, which dates back to the Middle Ages. We’ll admire the elegant buildings that fringe the central square, including the old town hall and a host of Art Nouveau treasures, and take in the Primate’s Palace followed by a free afternoon. A brilliant gala evening on board rounds off our final day perfectly.


DAY 5 Vienna to UK After breakfast, you will disembark your ship and transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
