DAY 3 Oporto & Regua Braga is considered the oldest Christian archdiocese in Portugal and one of the oldest in the world. You could join an optional visit there this morning. This afternoon we sail through the Douro Valley to the town of Regua.


DAY 4 Regua & Vega De Teron On an optional excursion to Vila Real, you can take in the beautiful gardens of Solar de Mateus before rejoining the ship in Pinhão. As we set sail towards Vega de Teron, admire the sight of the many steep, terraced vineyards lining the banks of the river.

an old university city which you can explore on an optional excursion. The university here was founded in 1218 and is one of the oldest in Europe, while Plaza Mayor is regarded as one of Spain’s most beautiful squares. We sail towards Barca D’Alva this evening.


DAY 6 Ferradosa & Pinhão We head to Ferradosa via the Valeira and Pocinho locks this morning. You can taste some more of Portugal’s signature tipple if you choose to join an optional excursion here.


Tonight, enjoy a gala evening aboard the ship.


DAY 7 Oporto The medieval town of Lamego, with the spectacular Nossa Senhora de Remedios sanctuary and the impressive Gothic cathedral, is a wonderful place to visit on an optional excursion. Return to the ship for lunch before we cruise back to Oporto.


This evening gather with your travelling companions for a farewell dinner on board the ship followed by a traditional show.


DAY 8 Oporto to UK We disembark the ship and fly back to the UK today.
