DAY 1 UK to Barbados Depart on your scheduled flight to Barbados today. On arrival, transfer to the Southern Palms Beach Club, which is your base for the next seven nights. Get to know your travelling companions over a welcome drink this evening.
DAY 2 St Lawrence Gap Your hotel is located in one of the most popular resorts on the south coast of Barbados, St Lawrence Gap, and you can spend today enjoying facilities including two pools, a mini-golf course, tennis courts, shuffleboard and scuba diving. Just a few steps away is the beach, which is cooled by the gentle trade winds, and when you want to get out and mingle with the locals, there’s a great selection of bars, restaurants and shops right on your doorstep.
The beach here is also an active nesting ground for the endangered hawksbill turtle, which return to the beach of their birth to lay their eggs. If luck is on our side we may see evidence of activity in the sand.

DAY 3 Flavours of Barbados Today you can get to know this idyllic Caribbean island on our included Flavours of Barbados tour, which begins with a scenic drive from the west, or ‘platinum’ coast to the rugged east. We’ll stop at St James Parish Church, one of the oldest in Barbados, whose bell bears the inscription ‘God Bless King William 1696’.
We’ll then admire the colonial architecture of Speightstown, and visit St Nicholas Abbey plantation – a 17th century mansion where we’ll see a wealth of antiques and the stunning Cherry Tree Hill, an avenue of mahogany trees just outside its gates. View the spectacular rock formations at Bathsheba en route to our final stop, Sunbury Plantation House, where elegant mahogany furniture, beautiful antiques and horse-drawn carriages give an intriguing glimpse of the grand lifestyle enjoyed by plantation owners. We’ll take lunch here before returning to the hotel.
DAY 4 Oistins Enjoy a day of leisure soaking up the sun or exploring St Lawrence Gap with your travelling companions. This evening join our included excursion and spend Friday night as the locals do at the Oistins Fish Fry. This fishing town is the place to be at the weekend, with stall-holders selling fresh fish which they will cook before your eyes. Buy a beer or a rum, take a seat and tuck in. After eating, soak up the party atmosphere as you browse stalls selling local arts and crafts, or dance the night away to reggae, ska or calypso music.
DAY 5 St Lawrence Gap St Lawrence Gap, simply known as ‘The Gap’, is a bustling hive of activity at any time of day or night. From fine restaurants and nightclubs to karaoke bars and rum shops – you’ll find it all here if you can tear yourself away from the beach today.
DAY 6 Catamaran cruise Today we offer an optional catamaran cruise along the beautiful West Coast. After transferring to the marina we’ll board a sleek, luxury catamaran and set off on a journey that’s relaxing and exciting in equal measure. Soak up the sun and enjoy a refreshing drink from the open bar as you take in lovely views of white-sand beaches and swaying palms – keep your eyes peeled for flying fish leaping out of the water and turtles coming up for air too.
The catamaran will drop anchor in a tranquil bay where you can make use of the snorkels and flippers provided to swim with colourful fish and turtles in the crystal-clear waters. A further stop will be made for more snorkelling, before lunch is served on board.
DAY 7 St Lawrence Gap Why not spend the final day of your holiday lazing on the beach and dipping into the turquoise water. This evening we’ll gather as a group for an included farewell dinner.
DAYS 8 & 9 Barbados to UK After a leisurely morning we’ll transfer to the airport for the flight back to the UK, arriving on day 9.
